Too Many Thoughts

I thought I would come home and write. I have started to write several things but nothing is finished.

Then I thought I would start by pulling my apartment together. This fall, I considered (not judged) the state of my (ex)boyfriend's apartment. Articles of clothing found on several pieces of furniture, multiple bags of different sizes spilling items onto counters, floors and tabletops, a (deep) sink full of dishes with the counter accommodating the overflow, lost notebooks and the acceptance that these things would be dealt with on another day. I knew he was busy but I wondered how it reached this point and so quickly. Again, no judgment, just curiosity.

I always begin a work stretch with my life in order, food cooked in the fridge, the apartment swept, items returned to their rightful homes, the dishes done, etc. I worked three days this week so this was my apartment status on Sunday. Three days later...

This table is home to the following:
1 printer
1 bra
1 water bottle
1 travel coffee mug
1 deodorant
3 pairs of sunglasses
1 set of scrubs
2 work badges
3 piles of mail
1 roll of tape
Several snack bars
Keys
Poop bags
5 bags/backpacks
1 pair of gloves
Knee braces
1 bike lock
1 lighter
Bottle of zinc lozenges
1 sweater
4 coats
1 bike skewer
1 hat
Cycling helmet
1 bracelet
3 scarves

Ok, now that's sorted out. I am sitting down to write. No dice. I can't seem to focus on one subject matter. Future blog posts: incommunicado and underpants. They are half to mostly written.

I think my table must reflect my state of mind. My life feels filled to the brim. One thing to the next but in a good way. Now I understand how his apartment reached this point in such a brief period of time. No judgment!
