Kickin' It

That’s right. The mountains are kickin’ it today. Tucked in among the mountains, the Seattle landscape eternally offers perspective. It is difficult to sink too deep when you are reminded of how beautiful the world is (as you walk out the door… for coffee).

I am rapidly approaching the two year mark and I remain thankful for everything this move has offered. Inspired daily to grow in undeveloped areas, to shed insecurities, to love more fiercely than ever before and to live more authentically. Thanks to the mountains, the air, the people, the creativity, the dragons. Dragons?! Monkeys? Crazy lady.

Moving on.

Leah and I recently went on a mini adventure to Bainbridge in order to catch a sunset. Sunsets, mountain ranges and ferry rides soothe the soul. Sometimes you just have to go back to basics when times get tough.

And when you do, you discover the perfect lone dock.

Dock ownership. Beginning your day with a cup of coffee on a dock, the water lapping gently against the shore, the air crisp, clean and cool, the world growing brighter by the minute… and drawing the day to a close with a glass of wine, the water still, peaceful, rippling as a fish snags a bug from the surface, orange tones against a darkening sky – why do we live any other way?

Please don’t wait for me to have a dock before coming to visit… it is going to be awhile but I am working on it. I have a plan.
