Haywire

I’d like to revisit my policy on cats and dogs in the bed. I am strictly against the practice and by strict I mean not so strict. But for a good portion of the year I manage to kick them out because I recover my willpower.

Then someone ELSE invites them into your bed (grrr) and then the whole cycle starts over again. They are cute, warm and friendly, keeping you company as the weather turns cooler, providing the cozy comfort you crave.

Then you remember why you kicked the bastards out in the first place. There’s fur everywhere and then you attempt to sleep in – yes – sleep in. Is that so much to ask? To sleep a little longer. But you can’t because you are flanked by two furry raucous beings who have an invested interest in preventing you from dozing off again.

Good thing they are adorable and love me unconditionally.

Still. It is time to kick them out again.
