I was daydreaming of a veggie box within the garden. I like my shit organized, ok. Leah had just built plant boxes for her porch. We conceived of a larger garden box project for the patio garden.
I like to make stuff. Actually, I like to daydream of making things. I have a long list. (like mother like daughter anyone?)
We purchased our supplies and made plans to build. We decided to fortify ourselves with coffee from a local coffee shop and take a long walk in advance of building. Ok, now we will build. Ok, we need to go back to home depot. We have a new plan.
We work well together. Leah did the sawing and the drilling. I dug and helped with the on-site construction. We stopped and discussed. We continued on. Leah stopped to help with my project. Success!Now I need to obtain dirt, plant veggies, string lights, clean the grill, acquire a table and chairs, perhaps a fire pit. Oh there WILL be a grand opening.
Oh man, I can't wait until my new deck is up and running so we can compare outdoor spaces! I wish you were here to help install some plant boxes at my new place!. Prediction: under my own supervision I'll make it as far as potting one tomato plant that will not live through the summer. Another pot, intended for flowers, will end up used as a repository for empty beer bottles.
ReplyDeleteI think that is a rather accurate predictions... don't let it stop you from starting - clearly you need a repository for empty beer bottles, why not select one that reminds you of something left undone?!
